Hain Celestial is currently recruiting for a QA Technician at our Grimsby site. In Grimsby, we manufacture fresh soups for our New Covent Garden brand and for private label.

Key Responsibilities / Accountability of the Role:
  • HACCP compliance auditing and measurement of critical control points; investigation and root cause analysis of non-conforming results.
  • Calibration of weighing and temperature measurement equipment; troubleshooting deviations from specified targets.
  • Verification of cleaning through the Hygiene Management System, including swabbing, titration, and rinse water testing.
  • Sample collection for external analysis (microbiological, chemical, etc.); investigation and root cause analysis of non-conforming results.
  • Conduct hygiene audits, discuss results, and coordinate corrective actions with departments. Perform glass/foreign body and fabrication audits, and communicate findings.
  • Investigate customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative actions.
  • Maintain and update site quality management system documentation.
  • Raise non-conformance investigation reports with key information for root cause analysis.
  • Lead investigations into foreign body reports, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions.
  • Complete scheduled hygiene validations.
  • Support project work as assigned by the Quality or Technical Manager, reporting findings accordingly.
  • Assess work in progress and finished products against specifications, conducting physical, chemical, and organoleptic assessments as needed.
  • Support raw material assessments and liaise with suppliers when applicable.
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot metal detection equipment.
  • Provide technical support and coaching to promote food safety standards and culture.
What you will need for the Role:
  • Level 3 food safety and HACCP training preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of quality auditing experience within food manufacturing.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
