Job summary

Mustard Jobs is seeking a QA / QC Engineer in Birmingham to lead QA/QC activities across multiple construction projects. The role focuses on managing inspections, test reports, certifications and non-conformance records to ensure compliance with project specs and industry standards.

The successful candidate will develop ITPs, method statements, risk assessments and quality checklists, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and promote a strong quality culture across both site and office

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' QA/QC experience in the construction industry.
• Experience on themed entertainment, visitor attractions or specialist builds would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of QA/QC procedures, inspections, audits and quality management systems.
• Experience producing method statements, inspection and test plans, risk assessments and quality documentation.
• ISO quality management training or certification desirable.
• Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and organisational skills across multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site activities and maintain quality records throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement of quality systems, procedures and best practices.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and secure approvals at key project stages.
• Promote a strong quality culture across site and office teams.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting continuous improvement of quality systems, procedures and best practices.

What we're looking for

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years' experience in a QA/QC or Quality Engineering role within the construction industry.
• Previous experience working on themed entertainment, visitor attractions, exhibition, experiential or specialist build projects would be highly advantageous.
• Good understanding of QA/QC procedures, inspections, audits and quality management systems.
• Experience producing method statements, inspection and test plans, risk assessments and quality documentation.
• ISO quality management training or certification is desirable.
• Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with the confidence to work across multidisciplinary project teams.
