Job summary

Danish Crown UK is seeking a QA to join the PM shift on the shop floor. You will support the food safety team with checks, verifications and audits to ensure quality and compliance with site policies and COPs. This hands-on role requires collaboration with Production and a time-structured approach to daily tasks.

Ideal candidates will have experience in Food Safety, HACCP and BRC, strong IT skills, and proven ability to work under pressure while delivering to deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in Food Safety, Hygiene, HACCP and BRC.
• Experience in Non-Conformance management.
• QA/Technical experience and external audits (BRC).
• Strong computer skills and report writing.
• Ability to communicate precise information during incidents.
• Experience in a factory environment.
• Internal audit skills and closure of actions.
• Complaints/non-conformances investigations experience.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Flexible and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Perform checks, verifications and audits related to food safety, quality and integrity.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with site policies and COPs.
• Support the food safety team on shop floor activities.
• Liaise with Production to build strong working relationships.
• Handle investigations of complaints and non-conformances.
• Complete any reasonable extra tasks as required.

We are a food company owned by Danish farmers, supplying high-quality food to customers and consumers all over the world.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a new QA to join the PM shift. As QA you will hold an essential support role to the food safety team, being responsible for various checks, verification activities and audits related to food safety, quality and integrity. You will assist in assuring compliance to site policies, procedures and customer COP’s.

This is a shop floor-based role so is suitable for someone who enjoys a hands‑on position and requires building a strong working relationship with Production.

The hours of work are 14.00 to 23.15 Monday to Friday (42.5 hours per week).

Specific Tasks

• Some previous working knowledge of Food Safety & Hygiene, HACCP & BRC
• Previous knowledge/experience of Non‑Conformance management
• QA/Technical experience & experience of External audits (BRC)
• A good level of computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point), competent in report writing
• Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate precise information to help deal with food safety incidents
• Experience of working within a factory environment
• Internal audit skills, ability to complete an internal audit, communicate and close the actions
• Complaints / Non‑Conformances investigation experience
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
• Flexibility and ability to multitask

Also, completing any reasonable additional tasks to support business needs as required.
