Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Software QA Engineer for a 6-month contract in Swindon, with on-site work two days per week.

You will build a test automation framework from scratch using Java, Selenium and Cucumber, implement BDD, and perform API testing against backend services.

Qualifications

• 6-month contract, Inside IR35.
• On-site work for Swindon (2 days/week).
• Experience building test automation frameworks and writing clean, reusable test code.

Responsibilities

• Build a test automation framework from scratch, including architecture decisions, setup, and ongoing maintenance.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable Java test code.
• Explain design approach and technology choices used in the automation framework (e.g. Java, Selenium, Cucumber).
• Implement BDD frameworks using Cucumber, including feature writing, step definitions, and automation best practices.
• Perform API testing for backend systems.
