Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Software QA Engineer for a 6-month contract in London, with on-site work two days per week. The role focuses on building a test automation framework from scratch using Java, Selenium and Cucumber, and delivering clean, reusable test code.

Key requirements:

• Building a test automation framework from scratch, including architecture decisions, setup, and ongoing maintenance
• Java for test automation, with the ability to write clean, reusable, and maintainable test code
• Proven ability to clearly explain the design approach and technology choices used when creating an automation framework (e.g. Java, Selenium, Cucumber)
• Solid experience implementing BDD frameworks using Cucumber, including feature writing, step definitions, and automation best practices
• API testing experience, someone known to Backend rather than Frontend
