Involved Solutions in Ipswich is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join a large-scale technology environment, focused on automation, backend services and tooling for telecoms and network operations.

This hands-on role centers on Python, REST APIs, automation and backend development across testing, monitoring and operational efficiency within 5G and enterprise platforms, with exposure to Linux, Docker, CI/CD, databases and network technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience in a commercial setting.
• Design and implement REST APIs using Flask and/or FastAPI.
• Experience with API authentication, error handling and documentation.
• Frontend basics: HTML/CSS/Jinja2 for lightweight interfaces.
• Solid SQL and NoSQL database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Linux environments with Bash/shell scripting; Docker-based deployments.
• CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and Git version control.
• Experience with Python automation libraries (Requests, Paramiko, Subprocess, Schedule, Pandas).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, SSH).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python automation frameworks and scripts.
• Build RESTful APIs and internal services for cross-team integrations.
• Develop web interfaces using HTML/CSS/Jinja2 for lightweight dashboards.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis for data handling.
• Maintain Docker/Docker Compose environments for deployment and testing.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab.
• Automate Linux tasks with Bash and cron jobs.
• Integrate Python apps with telecom network systems and APIs.
• Implement logging, monitoring and error handling across services.
• Collaborate with QA, Network Engineering and DevOps teams.
