Job summary

Queen Square Recruitment Ltd in London is seeking a Python Developer to build automation solutions, backend services, and tooling for large-scale telecom network operations. Working with QA, Network Engineering, and DevOps teams, you will develop REST APIs, automation scripts, and data-driven applications that improve testing, monitoring, and operational efficiency across 5G and enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• 4+ years Python development experience in automation or backend development.
• Experience building REST APIs using Flask or FastAPI.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and Jinja2.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong Linux administration and Bash scripting skills.
• Experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
• Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD experience.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Knowledge of Python libraries including requests, paramiko, subprocess, schedule, and pandas.
• Understanding of HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, and API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks and scripts for network testing, data processing, and operational workflows.
• Build RESTful APIs using Flask or FastAPI.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Develop and maintain Docker-based applications and environments.
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Write Linux shell scripts and manage deployments on Linux servers.
• Integrate with telecom network systems and APIs for validation, monitoring, and health checks.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and error-handling solutions.

Contract Rate: £420 per day inside IR35
