Job summary

Sky is seeking a Software Engineer for its Content Platform to build and operate Python-based services on AWS, delivering scalable, reliable features for content delivery. You will design APIs, own end-to-end services, and contribute to CI/CD and testing practices.

The role is hybrid, with on-call rotation twice a month, and offers opportunities to work on video ingest, encoding, metadata, and distribution workflows in a cloud-native environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building Python-based services on AWS.
• Design and deliver APIs and microservices.
• Strong focus on unit/functional tests (preferably TDD).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python-based services on AWS in a cloud-native setup.
• Deliver independently deployable features with quality and reliability.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Own services end-to-end including deployment, monitoring, and on-call rotation.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
