Job summary

Sky is seeking a Cloud/AI Platform Operations Engineer to join the Group AI Engineering team, ensuring production AI services are reliable, secure and cost effective. You will own the platform, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring, work with AI engineers on LLM apps, and manage access, secrets and security findings in line with Sky standards.

Experience in DevOps, cloud platforms, Python, and incident management is valued; on-call may be required in the future.

Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or production support.
• Production systems in cloud env; AWS preferred or Azure/Google.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, source control and IaC.
• Experience with Docker and exposure to Kubernetes/CF.
• Linux, networking, APIs, secrets, cloud security.
• Monitoring/observability tools.
• Python knowledge for troubleshooting and automation.
• Strong incident management and clear comms.
• Agile delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure for production AI services.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
• Operate containerised apps using Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, or similar.
• Monitor system health; investigate incidents; improve reliability.
• Frontline contact for AI service issues; inform stakeholders during incidents.
• Support Python services through logs, troubleshooting, changes.
• Manage access, secrets, dependencies, vulnerabilities per Sky security standards.
• Monitor cloud and AI costs; attribute spend across teams.
• Collaborate with AI engineers on LLM apps and data sources.
• Maintain runbooks, dashboards, alerts, documentation.
• On-call may be required in future.
