Job summary

Proclinical Staffing is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Python-based services on Linux, with a focus on cloud-connected networking and embedded environments. You will contribute to architecture decisions and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to balance technical excellence with business outcomes.

The role involves building Web APIs, WebSockets, and video streaming components, and debugging C/C++ code when needed.

Qualifications

• Solid Python development experience with pytest and mocking.
• Experience debugging and modifying C/C++ code.
• Familiarity with WebSockets and Web APIs.
• Strong Linux knowledge including systemd, v4l2, ntp, iptables.
• Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, NAT.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining Python applications and services.
• Building and supporting cloud-connected solutions using Web APIs and WebSockets.
• Debugging and enhancing C/C++ code where required.
• Working with Linux-based systems and troubleshooting system-level issues.
• Collaborating with cloud, mobile, web, and embedded engineering teams.
• Contributing to architecture discussions and evaluating technical trade-offs.
