We're looking for a proactive, commercially aware and highly organised Procurement Executive who can identify opportunities, build strong supplier relationships, coordinate complex projects and help deliver an effective supply chain for both new and existing products.
This role will suit someone who enjoys working at pace, is naturally curious about how things are made, and can confidently balance multiple priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail. You'll be someone who can build credibility with suppliers and internal stakeholders alike, challenge constructively, and take ownership of delivering results.
You'll play an important role in sourcing and benchmarking manufacturing partners, supporting product launches, monitoring market and commodity trends, and helping the business meet its sustainability reporting obligations.
Where and how you'll work:
This is a full-time role based at our Central Manchester office, working closely with colleagues across Procurement, Supply Chain, Technical, Finance and Commercial teams. The role will also involve regular interaction with manufacturing partners, logistics providers and suppliers across the UK and Europe.
Travel may include supplier visits, trade shows, manufacturing site visits and industry events to identify new suppliers, innovations and market opportunities.
You'll report to the Senior Procurement & Supply Chain Manager and play a key role in supporting cross‑functional projects that deliver new products, continuous improvement initiatives and sustainable supply chain solutions.
- You have experience in procurement, supply chain, FMCG, manufacturing, operations or a related environment, and can apply that experience to make informed commercial decisions.
- You are naturally curious and enjoy understanding how products are sourced, manufactured and delivered, always looking for opportunities to improve quality, cost or service.
- You take ownership without waiting to be asked, follow through on commitments and are comfortable being accountable for delivering outcomes.
- You are highly organised and able to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- You build trust quickly by communicating clearly, developing strong relationships and collaborating effectively with both suppliers and internal teams.
- You are confident enough to challenge constructively, ask thoughtful questions and influence decisions using facts, insight and sound judgement.
- You enjoy analysing information, monitoring market trends and turning data into practical recommendations and actions.
- You remain calm and resilient when priorities change, helping maintain momentum and keeping projects on track.
- You have a continuous improvement mindset and actively look for ways to simplify processes, improve efficiencies and deliver better outcomes.
- You have an interest in sustainability, legislation and industry developments, and are motivated by helping businesses respond to future challenges and opportunities.
What you'll be trusted to do:
- Identify, assess and benchmark third‑party manufacturers for existing and new product development projects.
- Drive supplier selection and onboarding activities, working closely with Technical, Supply Chain and Finance teams.
- Build strong relationships with manufacturing partners, co‑packers and logistics providers.
- Monitor market conditions, commodity trends and supplier developments, sharing insights that support commercial decision‑making.
- Ensure supplier, pricing and manufacturer information is accurately maintained within company systems.
- Identify project risks early, communicate issues clearly and work collaboratively to deliver solutions.
- Support the selection and negotiation of project‑related suppliers and service partners.
- Build awareness of sustainability legislation and industry developments that impact packaging, products and supply chains.
- Coordinate sustainability reporting requirements, including environmental and customer reporting obligations.
- Continuously review existing processes and recommend improvements that enhance business performance and efficiency.
