Job summary

Aspire Jobs are working with an established business in the Poole area who are now looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team. The Purchasing Manager role will see you working as part of the buying team and ideally you will have experience of purchasing large quantities within a manufacturing, industrial or high-volume company.

You will be part of the Management team and will be expected to report and participate in regular management meetings as well as managing a small

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing within manufacturing, industrial, or high-volume environments.
• Experience managing staff and leading teams.
• Ability to forecast, plan material requirements and manage time-critical deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Report on planning, estimating, expediting and forecasting.
• Identify trends within the business and adjust purchasing strategies.
• Source new suppliers and negotiate prices and delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues to ensure on-time delivery of products.
• Understand supplier capabilities and capacities to optimise the supply chain.

Salary: GBP45k-GBP60k DOE

Hours: 37.5 hours Mon-Fri office based

The Purchasing Manager role will see you working as part of the buying team and ideally you will have experience of purchasing large quantities within a manufacturing, industrial or high-volume company.

As the successful Purchasing Manager you will:

• Have previous buying or purchasing experience within manufacturing or high volume distribution
• Have staff management experience
• Be proactive and hands on in your approach
• Be used to working to time critical deadlines
• Be computer literate with the ability to forecast and material plan
• Experience of ERP/MRP systems
• Have strong attention to detail
• Possess Advanced Excel and database skills

Responsibilities of the Purchasing Manager:
