Job description

Small electronic manufacturing company looking for immediate hire of person to purchase components and expedite orders.

Responsibilities:

• As assigned, procure and expedite electronic components and circuit boards that conform to requirements of drawings/specifications, quality, delivery date and special customer requirements.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Ensure on time delivery of released purchase orders by proactively monitoring and communicating expected deliveries.
• Participate the management of a Supplier Scorecard program. This includes communicating supplier ratings and administering the supplier corrective action for those suppliers rated as unacceptable, recognizing suppliers who achieve excellence in their rating.
• Assisting in BOM's when needed.
• Maintain and update files.
  
  

Job Details:

• Knowledge of electronic components and experience preferred.
• Hours are 8:00 to 4:00 Monday - Friday.

Requirements:

• Computer knowledge
• Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position.
