Job summary

Search Consultancy LTD in Glasgow is seeking a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a busy finance team at Queenslie Industrial Estate. This is an immediate start, temporary to permanent role, with a full-time schedule Monday to Friday.

You will process supplier invoices, manage reconciliations, and help transition to a more automated finance system while supporting day-to-day ledger tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an office environment
• Confident working in h
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload
• Comfortable working with manual processes and adapting to new systems
• A proactive approach to investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Available to start immediately or at short notice

Responsibilities

• Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Managing the purchase ledger inbox, responding to queries and prioritising incoming invoices
• Completing supplier statement reconciliations using Excel
• Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies, including shortages, overcharges and pricing differences
• Scanning, uploading and matching supplier invoices and goods received notes (GRNs)
• Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining accurate supplier records
• Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve outstanding queries
• Supporting the transition from manual processes to a more automated finance system
• Ensuring invoices and financial records are processed accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Providing occasional reception cover during lunch periods when required
