Job summary

Impact Recruitment Services is recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant for a Northamptonshire-based business. You will own the purchase ledger, prepare monthly payments, reconcile credit cards, and help with stock and admin tasks.

Close collaboration with the Finance Director and teams across the business is essential. We seek candidates with prior purchase ledger experience, finance exposure, strong attention to detail, good Excel skills, and familiarity with accounting software.

Qualifications

• Previous Purchase Ledger or Accounts Assistant experience.
• Experience working in a finance environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience using accounting software.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach and willingness to support colleagues across the business.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of the purchase ledger function.
• Preparing monthly payment runs.
• Managing credit card invoice reconciliation.
• Reviewing delivery documentation and supporting stock administration.
• Checking import documentation and investigating discrepancies.
• Liaising with suppliers, warehouse teams and internal departments.
• Supporting business improvement projects and general administrative activities as required.
