Job description

Greenhous DAF Wolverhampton is looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the Finance Department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and fast-paced team.

Salary: Dependent on Experience (to be discussed at interview stage)

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, i.e., 40 hours per week. 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Registering a large quantity of invoices (100+ per day).
  • Posting invoices to match the GRNI.
  • Dealing with day-to-day queries from suppliers.
  • Referring invoices to the correct manager for authorisation.
  • Checking supplier bank details for accuracy.
  • Producing monthly statement reconciliations accurately and promptly.
  • Raising payments to suppliers and submitting the payment run on time.
  • Producing quarterly reconciliations of the Paccar account.
  • Providing reception cover as required.
  • Performing any ad hoc duties within the finance department.

Ideally, we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger Clerk role.
  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Accurate and confident in manner.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and be computer literate.
