Morson Praxis is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join its finance team in the UK. You will support day-to-day accounts payable activities and help maintain accurate supplier records and timely payments.

In this fast-paced consultancy environment, you will work closely with project teams and suppliers, ensuring correct processing of invoices, reconciliations and reporting. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and strong Excel skills will help you thrive and grow within the group.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence using finance systems and Excel.
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset with deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices, staff expenses and purchase orders accurately and on time
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Preparing and processing weekly BACS payment runs
• Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Ensuring all invoices are approved in line with procedures
• Dealing with internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting month-end tasks, including journals, reconciliations
• Compile Payment Practices reporting
• Maintaining accurate financial records and helping prepare internal reports
• Handling finance queries from project teams and suppliers, providing excellent service
• Supporting continuous improvement across finance processes and systems
• Contributing to a collaborative finance team and supporting colleagues during peak periods
