Job summary

Morson Praxis is seeking a dedicated Purchase Ledger professional to join our finance function in the UK. You will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, staff expenses, and purchase orders with accuracy and timeliness, while ensuring supplier statements reconcile and payments are processed efficiently.

Ideal candidates will have previous Purchase Ledger experience, strong numerical skills, and proficiency with Excel.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence using finance systems and Excel (VLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables a plus).
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work to deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices, staff expenses and purchase orders accurately and on time.
• Reconciliation of supplier statements.
• Preparing and processing weekly BACS payment runs.
• Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Ensuring all invoices are approved in line with procedures.
• Dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
• Supporting month-end tasks, including journals, reconciliations.
• Compile Payment Practices reporting.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and helping prepare internal reports.
• Handling finance queries from project teams and suppliers, providing excellent service.
• Supporting continuous improvement across finance processes and systems.
• Contributing to a collaborative finance team and supporting colleagues during peak periods.
