Job summary

Morson Praxis is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk in Manchester to support the finance function with day-to-day activities across accounts payable and reporting. You will process invoices, reconcile supplier statements and assist with month-end tasks to ensure accurate financial records.

The role offers exposure to a growing consultancy, with opportunities to develop within the finance team and support major projects across the UK.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence using finance systems and Excel (VLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables a plus).

Responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices, staff expenses and purchase orders accurately and on time.
• Reconciliation of supplier statements.
• Preparing and processing weekly BACS payment runs.
• Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Ensuring all invoices are approved in line with procedures.
• Dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
• Supporting month-end tasks, including journals, reconciliations.
