Responsibilities

• Matching supplier invoices to GRNs and resolving discrepancies.
• Investigating price, quantity and delivery queries with suppliers and internal teams.
• Reconciling supplier statements and chasing missing invoices/credit notes.
• Ensuring invoices and credits are processed accurately and on time.
• Supporting BACS payment runs and contra processing.
• Managing unmatched GRN and stock return reports.

Ascent Recruitment is currently working with a well‑established and growing business in Manchester that is looking to appoint an Accounts Payable Clerk to strengthen their finance team.

This is a varied role where you’ll take ownership of the purchase ledger process while working closely with internal departments and suppliers to resolve queries and keep everything running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Matching supplier invoices to GRNs and resolving discrepancies
• Investigating price, quantity and delivery queries with suppliers and internal teams
