We’re looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover, starting in early October. The role is 20 hours per week and we can offer flexibility around how those hours are worked, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to fit their working hours around other commitments.

What you’ll be doing

Working as part of our Finance team, you’ll help keep our purchase ledger running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing and checking invoices accurately and efficiently
• Reconciling supplier statements and helping to resolve queries
• Preparing payments and supporting the team at month-end
• Assisting with general finance administration and ad-hoc projects

What we’re looking for

You’ll have previous experience working within finance, with purchase ledger or accounts payable experience particularly useful. You’ll also need:

• Strong organisational skills and a good eye for detail
• A methodical and accurate approach to your work
• Good communication skills and the confidence to deal with colleagues and suppliers
• The ability to work well as part of a busy and supportive team
• Confidence using finance systems and Excel

The salary for this role is £13,874 per annum, based on 20 hours per week (£26,000 full-time equivalent).
