Job summary

Kirklees Council on behalf of Meltham Moor Primary School is seeking an Attendance, Welfare & Student Support Officer. You will build strong relationships with pupils and families, champion attendance, and uphold safeguarding standards to help children thrive.

You will work closely with teachers and external partners to provide personalised support for vulnerable learners, track progress with data, and contribute to a welcoming, safe school community under the Together Learning Trust.

Qualifications

• Champion great attendance by liaising with families and spotting concerns early.
• Provide safeguarding support as a DDSL and ensure pupil wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships to offer practical and emotional support.

Responsibilities

• Develop warm relationships to remove barriers to learning with practical and emotional support.
• Collaborate with teachers, leaders and external agencies to provide joined-up support for vulnerable learners.
