Job summary

East Dunbartonshire Council is seeking Pupil Support Assistants (Peripatetic) for Holy Family Primary to support children with additional needs. You will assist with personal care and help pupils with learning activities while following directions of teachers, in a caring, patient manner.

Two positions exist: 11 hours per week and 25 hours per week, term-time only, temporary until 30 June 2027. PVG/Disclosure checks apply; right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with children and young people with additional support needs is essential.
• Able to support pupils individually or in small groups under supervision.
• A pleasant, tolerant manner and ability to establish positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils individually or in small groups directed by the class teacher.
• Provide supervision for pupils in playground, corridors, dining area, PE or trips.
• Contribute to support programmes and ensure a safe environment.
• Assist with personal care needs under direction of staff.
