Job summary

Perth and Kinross Council is seeking an enthusiastic Enhanced Pupil Support Assistant (Fixed Term until 31 December 2026) for Oakbank Primary School, Perth. The role supports learners in the Intensive Support Provision, assisting with learning needs and collaborating with teaching staff.

The successful candidate will supervise break/lunchtime activities, promoting active play and wellbeing, with term-time only hours. Sponsorship is not available for this post.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with learners with complex additional support needs.
• Interest in pursuing a career in education.
• Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
• Confidentiality and ability to work sensitively with learners and families.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and on your own initiative.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive approach to working with children.

Responsibilities

• Support learners in Intensive Support Provision and help meet a range of learning needs.
• Work closely with teaching staff to support learners.
• Support children at break and lunchtimes, encouraging active play and supervising wellbeing.
