Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking two Teaching Assistant roles to assist teachers in promoting achievement and supporting pupil attainment across a range of ages from P1 to S6. The position requires flexibility in school location within the cluster and a commitment to safe, supportive learning environments.

Initial placement will be in the advertised location, with potential to work elsewhere within the Turriff CSN.

Qualifications

• PVG Scheme or PVG Scheme update check required.
• Overseas Criminal Record Check if spent 3+ months outside UK in last 5 years.
• Minimum of one reference from current or most recent employer.

There is a requirement to be flexible in school location within the cluster, according to individual circumstances and work with a range of pupils from P1 - S6.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Initially you will be based in the location advertised, but you may be required to work elsewhere within the Turriff CSN.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
