Dundee City Council is seeking a part-time support assistant for various locations in Dundee, providing essential services to children and young people with additional support needs. Salary: £13,090 - £13,730 per year

Hours: 0 hours per week
Based at St Paul's or Harris Academy, you will work 19 or 19.5 hours per week, term time on a temporary basis until April 2026. Please indicate your preference on the application form.

You will have 3 National 5s, or equivalent, to include English and Maths.
You will work as part of a cohesive support staff team providing a flexible and comprehensive support service throughout the school day. You will assist the Principal Teacher (SFL) and class teachers in the provision of educational programmes designed to meet the requirements of children and young people with additional support and wellbeing needs.
You will have experience working with children and young people, including those with learning needs. You will also have experience of word processing, computer input, and general admin duties with good communication and keyboard skills.
You will have the ability to work well under direction, use your own initiative as required, and work as part of a team. You should be reliable and conscientious with a friendly, open nature and a flexible attitude to sharing responsibilities and willingness to undertake training.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
