East Renfrewshire Council is looking for 4 Pupil Support Assistants to provide crucial support to pupils at Carlibar Communication Centre. In this part-time, permanent role, you will assist with personal care and help develop essential skills while fostering positive relationships. Salary: £10,719 - £17,886 per year

Carlibar Communication Centre are recruiting 4 permanent Pupil Support Assistants. Additional temporary vacancies may become available and applicants unsuccessful at the interview may be recommended for the council supply
As part of this role you will be responsible forproviding additional support to our pupils, including personal and medical care, supporting children in our cooking kitchen to develop essential skills.
We need someone who has a positive disposition and the ability to work as part of our team. We would like the successful candidate to display our school values of creativity, honesty, ambition, respect, responsibility and trust.
The successful candidate should display good inter-personal skills and build positive, nurturing relationships with all stake holders.
On completion of additional years of service by 1 January of each year, following the anniversary of the date of appointment, your term time salary will be adjusted to include a payment in lieu of the additional leave day accrued at the beginning of each leave year for the first 10 years of service.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with children. In addition to this, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check.
