Job summary

Oaks Park High School in Sutton is seeking a Pupil Engagement Officer (Maternity Cover) to support pupils within the school life, ensuring access to a varied and engaging curriculum. The role is non-teaching and works under the SEN senior team to re-engage students with attendance issues.

The position starts mid-December 2026 (or soon after) and runs until 31 August 2027, on a full-time basis (36 hours per week across five days). Applicants should be prepared for safeguarding and DBS checks.

Qualifications

• This is a non-teaching post which will give the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to work closely with young people supporting them in their school life, helping them to access a varied and exciting curriculum.
• You will be expected to work effectively with both teaching and support staff at all levels as well as with parents/carers, students and external agencies.
