Job summary

Fairfield School is seeking an Activity Support Officer to help provide for the learning and welfare of pupils aged 3–19 with complex and profound learning difficulties. The role focuses on personal care, feeding, and supervising outdoor play at lunchtime, with support for medical and physical needs under specialist direction.

Experience in a school setting with children/young people is essential; experience with pupils having profound and multiple learning difficulties would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children/young people in a school environment is essential.
• Experience of working with pupils who have profound and multiple learning difficulties would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide all aspects of personal care to pupils aged 3–19 years.
• Feed pupils their lunch whilst promoting independence.
• Supervise and engage pupils in outdoor play during lunchtime periods.
• Support, under the direction of specialists, the medical and physical needs of pupils.
