Job summary

Orion Electrotech in Derby is recruiting four Night Shift Punch Press Setter Operators to join a busy manufacturing operation operating 24/7. This hands-on role focuses on setting and operating punch press machinery to keep production running smoothly.

You'll work a 12-hour night shift pattern (6:00 pm–6:00 am), with a future move to a 4 on/4 off schedule, and you will be part of a well-invested site with modern machinery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Punch Press Setter Operator.
• Experience setting and operating punch press machinery.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Knowledge of tooling setup, machine adjustments, and quality inspection.

Job Title: Punch Press Setter Operator

Night Shift Punch Press Setter Operator (4 Positions Available)

Location: Derby

Salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience)

Shift Pattern: Monday–Thursday (4 on / 3 off) 6:00 pm – 6:00 am (12‑hour shifts)

Future shift pattern may move to 4 on / 4 off

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll primarily set and operate punch press machinery, ensuring efficient production, quality output, and machine optimisation within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
