Job summary

Orion Electrotech is hiring 4 Night Shift Press Brake Machinists to join a busy Derby manufacturing site operating 24/7. You will operate and set press brake machines on a 12-hour night shift (6:00pm–6:00am) with potential future pattern changes and salary up to £40,000.

You’ll work in a modern environment with new machinery, with opportunities to gain multi‑skilled experience across lasers and punch presses, while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience (ideally in a similar environment).
• Experience operating press brake machinery (preferred).
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• A strong work ethic and reliable attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operating and setting press brake machines
• Supporting operation of lasers and punch press machinery where required
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately
• Working with metal components ranging from 1mm to 6mm thickness
• Maintaining high standards of quality and productivity
• Supporting a flexible, multi‑skilled production environment
• Adhering to health & safety procedures at all times

Press Brake Operator - Night Shift Press Brake Machinist (4 Positions Available)

Location: Derby. Salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience). Shift Pattern: Monday–Thursday (4 on / 3 off) 6:00pm – 6:00am (12-hour shifts). Future shift pattern may move to 4 on / 4 off.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting 4 Night Shift Press Brake Machinists to join a busy, modern manufacturing environment operating 24/7. Following a recent £2 million investment in three brand-new machines, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and forward‑thinking production team.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll primarily operate press brake machinery, with opportunities to be multi‑skilled across lasers and punch press machines.

• Operating and setting press brake machines
• Supporting operation of lasers and punch press machinery where required
