Job summary

BSS, part of Travis Perkins plc., is seeking a Category Manager for Pumps & Pumping equipment at the BSS Magna Park Office. The role is hybrid with several days on-site, plus roughly two days at home, offering scope to influence product strategy and supplier relations.

You will drive category innovations, pricing, supplier management, and collaboration across the branch network to deliver strong commercial results.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial category management or sales in a plumbing/heating/merchanting environment.
• Strong data-driven decision making with analytical skills.
• Ability to build and influence relationships with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Review trading performance and identify opportunities or concerns, taking action in line with category intent.
• Deliver category pricing and range reviews to optimise performance.
• Define supply base strategy and manage supplier relationships to maximise return.
• Lead negotiation of key supplier trading agreements and input into rebate management systems.
• Develop cross-functional relationships across brands within the TP Group.
