Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a skilled Pumps Fitter to join our Pumps Department in England. The successful candidate will inspect, diagnose, repair, overhaul, assemble and test a wide range of industrial pumps and related rotating equipment.

You will work as part of a specialist team, applying strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to deliver high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of industrial pumps and rotating equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and repair specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment including: Vernier calipers, Micrometers, Dial indicators, Bore gauges, Depth gauges.

Aufgaben

• Inspect, diagnose, dismantle, repair, overhaul, and reassemble a variety of industrial pumps and associated equipment.
• Identify faults, wear patterns, and component failures, recommending appropriate repair solutions.
• Carry out pump strip-downs and detailed inspections, recording findings accurately.
• Replace and fit bearings, seals, shafts, impellers, wear rings, sleeves, gaskets, and other pump components.
• Measure and record critical dimensions using precision measuring equipment.
• Assemble pumps in accordance with manufacturer specifications and drawings.
• Conduct hydrostatic and performance testing and final inspections.
• Prepare completed equipment for customer collection or shipment.
• Maintain repair documentation and inspection records.
• Participate in daily production meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all work follows safety and company procedures.
