Job summary

Kinetic plc is actively seeking an experienced fitter to join a growing engineering team. The role focuses on disassembly, inspection, repair and re-assembly of pumps and rotating equipment, with a strong emphasis on quality and meeting deadlines.

You'll work in a small skilled team, drawing on a solid mechanical background and time-served engineering experience, with overtime and a competitive package available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing, fitting and assembling pumps and rotating equipment.
• Strong mechanical engineering background.
• Experience in a service or workshop environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, repair and re-assemble pumps and other rotating equipment.
• Complete work within agreed deadlines and to a high standard.
• Service, fit and assemble rotating equipment following procedures.
• Assist with technical reports to company and customer requirements.
• Identify root causes of equipment issues and support internal teams.

Job description

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Fitter to join an established and growing engineering business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served engineer with a strong background in pumps and rotating equipment to join a small, skilled team and play an important role in the continued growth of the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repair and re-assembly of various rotating equipment, primarily pumps, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.

Package

• Monday to Thursday 07:30 until 16:00
• Friday 07:30 until 12:30
• £33,265.96 per annum
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
• 3% company pension contribution

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, repair and re-assemble pumps and other rotating equipment
• Complete work within agreed deadlines and to the highest possible standard
• Service, fit and assemble rotating equipment in accordance with company procedures
• Assist with the preparation of technical reports to company standards and customer requirements
• Work in accordance with relevant industry standards and company procedures
• Support internal teams in identifying and resolving the root causes of equipment issues
• Work as part of specialist and multi-disciplinary teams when required
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge across a variety of rotating equipment
• Contribute to achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
• Work flexibly and undertake overtime when required
