Job summary

Allstaff Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Mechanical Field Service Fitter in Castleford for a permanent, full-time position. The role offers a salary of £40,000 and a 37.5-hour week. You will service diesel pump sets, read drawings, and perform tests and diagnostics on rotating equipment.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical or electrical apprenticeship or time served, a full driving license, and relevant experience with pump systems. Training and safety qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with Diesel Pump Sets.
• Reading and understanding engineering drawings.
• Strong fault-finding skills, ideally with pumps and rotating equipment.
• Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship or time served.
• Full driving license.

Responsibilities

• De-contamination of pump units.
• Dismantling, inspection and reporting of pump unit condition.
• Assemble and test pumps.
• Identify spare parts required from drawings.
• Mechanical measurement of components and critical dimensions.
• Diesel pump set repair and maintenance.
