Job summary

Allstaff is seeking an Electrical Mechanical Field Service Fitter based in Castleford for a full-time permanent role. Salary is £40,000 with a 37.5 hour week and a Monday-Thursday 8.15am-4.45pm, Friday 8.15am-1.45pm schedule.

The role involves de-contamination, dismantling, inspection, and testing of pump units, plus fault finding and reading engineering drawings. A full driving licence is essential and time-served experience or an apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical disciplines is

Qualifications

• Experience with Diesel Pump Sets and rotating equipment.
• Time-served or apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Full driving licence is essential.
• CSCS card is desirable.

Responsibilities

• De-contamination of pump units.
• Dismantling, inspection and reporting of pump unit condition.
• Assemble and test pumps.
• Identify spare parts required from drawings.
• Mechanical measurement of components and critical dimensions.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Mechanical Field Service Fitter

Requirements for a successful Electrical Mechanical Field Service Fitter

• Experience in working with Diesel Pump Sets
• CSCS card Desirable
• Confined Space training Desirable
• Overhead crane, lifting and slinging operator license Desirable
• Water Hygiene qualified Desirable
• Full driving license
• Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship or similar or time served
• Experience in Electric Motor & Control Equipment
• Strong fault-finding skills, ideally with pumps and rotating equipment
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
