Job summary

Penguin Random House UK is seeking an Inventory Controller on a 12-month fixed-term contract in London. You will manage day-to-day inventory for a portfolio of titles, including Print on Demand and Group Company stock, ensuring availability and accurate reporting.

You’ll release orders, manage reserves, and run regular stock and sales reports, collaborating with Sales, Production, and Finance. You will bring strong Excel skills, experience with inventory systems (SAP/Biblio/Business Objects),

Qualifications

• Proven experience in inventory or stock management.
• Strong Excel skills and data-driven decision making.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience with SAP or similar inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory processes for Print on Demand titles.
• Order stock imported from Group Companies.
• Set up Local Prints for Group Companies with Sales Operations and Production.
• Manage inventory reserves and report on Out-of-Stock titles.
• Release customer orders from Order Management System including stock for independent shops and Amazon.
• Maintain price grids for Group Territories.
• Run weekly and monthly reports and support ad hoc team tasks.
