Job summary

IPPR is seeking a Publishing Assistant to join its in-house publications team in Manchester. You will support editorial, design, typesetting and online publishing to maximise the impact of IPPR’s research.

You will work across web publishing, print materials and digital content, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, learning new tools, and collaborating with researchers and colleagues across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in editing, design and layout with attention to detail.
• Organised, proactive and able to work independently on detailed tasks.
• Excellent communicational and collaborative style.

Responsibilities

• Copyediting and proofreading IPPR publications and content.
• Copywriting including online summaries of research.
• Support design, typesetting and layout of publications.
• Create charts/graphics for research outputs.
• Publish reports and articles on the IPPR website.
• Assist with digital and print material production.
• Collaborate with researchers across IPPR to deliver outputs.
