Job summary

Student Castle is seeking a dedicated Cleaning & Welfare Assistant for our London properties. You will maintain public areas, assist with kitchen and flat inspections when needed, and support student welfare with a friendly, safe approach.

You will handle manual tasks during busy periods and report health or welfare concerns with care. This role emphasizes customer care, safety, and a welcoming environment for staff and students.

Qualifications

• Clean, tidy and honest.
• Physically fit with good customer care skills.
• Able to exercise initiative and prioritise duties accordingly.
• Able to work to a high standard against agreed timescales with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties around the property and throughout the grounds.
• Keep front entrance and reception clean at all times.
• Report any damages or faults to maintenance promptly.
• Report near-misses or accidents to the First Aider.
• Clean internal doors, frames and glass as necessary.
• Clean floors by mopping and vacuuming throughout public areas.
• Ensure areas are free from rubbish, dirt, dust and hazards.
• Ensure touchpoints are sanitized and signs are used where appropriate.
• Replenish consumables and assist customers with a friendly attitude.
• Adhere to health, safety and COSHH guidelines.
