Service Care is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant for a temporary contract in Berkshire. The role focuses on realigning budgets, forecasting MTFS, and challenging expenditure within the Property Services function.

You will lead revenue and capital budgeting processes, provide senior management with robust financial insights, and ensure compliance with regulations. ASAP start with a short two-week duration and potential extension.

Competenze

• Qualified accountant with substantial experience in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience in local government, public sector finance, or property-related financial management.
• Strong influencing and business partnering skills; capable of challenging expenditure.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear recommendations.

Mansioni

• Lead the preparation, monitoring, and review of revenue and capital budgets to ensure strong financial control.
• Develop accurate monthly, quarterly, and medium-term financial forecasts, considering property disposals, income variations, capital investments, and emerging financial pressures.
• Provide insightful financial analysis and management information to senior managers, directors, and elected members.
• Highlight risks, variances, savings opportunities, and areas that require proactive action.
• Act as the lead finance business partner for Property Services, supporting budget holders and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and organisational policies.
