Qualifications

• Qualified Accounting Technician or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in local government finance, or a complex public/private sector environment.
• Strong Excel and Power BI skills with analytical and financial management abilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, forecasts, monitoring and year-end accounts for allocated services.
• Provide financial advice to managers and senior stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Maintain financial systems, controls and processes in line with CIPFA guidance.
• Prepare financial analysis, grant claims, statutory returns and management reports.
