Job summary

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service is recruiting a Management Accountant to join the Finance and Procurement team to deliver accurate financial accounting services for the Service, its partners and external organisations.

You will interpret financial regulations, provide analysis and guidance, manage monthly reconciliations and budgets, and liaise with auditors, departments and contractors.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, CCAB/AAT qualified or CPD.
• Immediate availability.
• Public sector finance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce financial plans and budgets and maintain, monitor & report on allocated areas of responsibility within the Service.
• Contribute to the financial management of the Service’s revenue and capital budgets.
• Liaise with cost centre managers, internal and external auditors, contractors and suppliers of financial services.
• Provide financial advice to Government Departments, external auditors and external bodies.
• Undertake monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
