Job summary

BWB Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex public sector initiatives in Manchester. You will manage project lifecycles, governance, and stakeholder relationships while ensuring safety, budget adherence, and quality across delivery phases.

The role requires 5+ years in the public sector, APMPMQ (or above), and NEC3/NEC4 familiarity. Strong contract oversight and MS Project proficiency are essential for success in this senior position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Public sector.
• Experience of working with project life-cycles and project governance.
• Professional qualification (APM-PMQ or above).
• NEC Accredited Project Manager in NEC3 or NEC4 is desirable.
• Experience of contracts including NEC3/NEC4 (ECC/PSC) or JCT family.
• Experience using MS Project for project scheduling.
• Experience on large-scale Infrastructure projects.
• Experience collaborating with Local Authorities and major infrastructure stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Project Delivery: Ensure projects are delivered safely on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
• Project Management Services: Provide a high-quality, consistent project management service with monitoring and reporting.
• Change and Risk Management: Manage changes, risks, and contingencies with detailed cost and program information.
• Meetings and Communication: Organise meetings, maintain records, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Contract Management: Oversee development of contract assessments and notifications for compliance.
• CDM Regulations Compliance: Support compliance with CDM Regulations 2015.
