Sue Ross Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a public sector organisation for an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team on a 3-month fixed-term contract. You will lead end-to-end procurement activities, provide expert guidance on governance and legislation, and strive for value for money across a diverse project portfolio.

Hybrid working, immediate start, and £26.00 per hour plus holiday pay are on offer.

Qualifications

• Significant procurement experience within public sector or local government.
• Recognised procurement or contract management qualification.
• Knowledge of procurement legislation, governance and contract management.
• Experience leading complex tendering exercises and projects.

Responsabilités

• Manage end-to-end procurement and tendering activities.
• Lead procurement exercises from specification to award and contract implementation.
• Draft contracts, variations, extensions and closure documentation with legal teams.
• Support supplier engagement and relationship management.
• Drive procurement best practice, process improvements and efficiencies.
• Develop procurement pipelines and MI reporting for spend insights.
• Provide professional procurement advice to stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Supervise and support a Procurement Officer.
