Job summary

Reed Talent Solutions are partnering with a public sector organisation to recruit a Procurement & Contracts Manager for a 6 month initial contract. You would lead procurement and contract management activity across the organisation, ensuring value for money, effective supplier performance and robust commercial governance.

This rate for this role will be between £500 - £600 per day umbrella with an on site hybrid arrangement of 2 – 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in procurement, contract management and governance.
• Strong knowledge of public sector procurement legislation and best practice.
• Experience managing complex procurement from planning through to contract award.
• Proven ability to manage supplier performance and relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and providing strategic commercial advice.
• The ability to balance compliance requirements with practical business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activity across a range of categories and projects.
• Provide strategic procurement and commercial advice to managers and senior stakeholders.
• Managing supplier relationships and contract performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Ensuring compliance with procurement legislation, governance requirements and organisational policies.
• Supporting business planning, budgeting and commercial decision-making.
• Developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with organisational objectives.
• Promoting sustainability, social value and continuous improvement within procurement processes.
• Monitoring commercial risks and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and value.
