Job summary

Adecco is recruiting a Paralegal to join the Devon & Cornwall Police Force on a temporary contract in Exeter (Middlemoor Police HQ). The role offers hybrid working and an hourly rate of £14.10 for a 35-hour week.

You will support three teams: Litigation, Operations, or Vulnerability, under the Legal Services Practice Manager. Responsibilities include drafting documents, researching cases, liaising with stakeholders, and maintaining organized workflows.

Qualifications

• Administrative experience in a legal setting.
• Strong understanding of English grammar and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Proficient in navigating legal databases and systems.

Responsibilities

• Litigation support for civil claims and employment tribunals.
• Assist with firearms and misconduct hearings; draft basic court applications.
• Collaborate on civil preventative orders, including Domestic Violence Protection Orders.
• Draft legal filings and conduct research to support proceedings.
