Job summary

Lawes Consulting Group is hiring an Account Handler (Public Sector) in Manchester to support day-to-day servicing of Public Sector clients and to build insurance knowledge within a collaborative team.

You will assist with renewals, gather underwriting information, and handle policy queries while maintaining accurate records and compliant practices. A proactive, client-focused approach and CII progression are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance, financial services or client service is desirable.
• Willingness to develop technical insurance knowledge, ideally working towards CII qualifications such as Cert CII.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Strong client service skills with a professional, helpful and responsive approach.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of Public Sector clients, delivering work accurately and promptly.
• Assisting with renewal preparation and coordination, including gathering underwriting information and preparing client documentation.
• Processing mid-term adjustments, policy queries and insurer correspondence.
• Communicating clearly with clients, insurers and colleagues, providing timely updates.
• Maintaining accurate client records, policy documentation and internal systems.
