Job summary

Grant Thornton in the United Kingdom is seeking a Manager to join the Public Sector FRAS team. You will lead non-audit engagements, apply IFRS in public sector contexts and support finance functions for NHS, Local Authorities and health bodies.

You will develop client relationships, contribute to business development, and coach junior colleagues while guiding project delivery and budgets. Hybrid working and professional development are emphasised in this role.

Qualifications

Professional Accounting qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA).
Post-qualification experience in external audit/consulting or Local Authorities/Health finance backgrounds.
Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and public sector financial reporting.
Experience leading and developing relationships.
Project management experience.
Experience coaching junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

Deliver non-audit engagements across services provided, ensuring quality standards.
Solve complex technical accounting and financial reporting issues for clients.
Take opportunities for wider team responsibilities, training, and pitching new projects.
Participate in business development and generation of ideas for new services.
Oversee team members in project delivery and budget oversight.
Assist in client onboarding and maintain strong client relationships.
Collaborate with clients and team to push for improvements and value.
