Job summary

Grant Thornton UK LLP is seeking a Manager to join the Public Sector Financial Reporting and Accounting Support (FRAS) team. Based in the UK with hybrid working, you will lead non-audit engagements for NHS Trusts, Local Authorities and health bodies, delivering high quality financial reporting support.

You will apply IFRS expertise, manage client relationships, and develop juniors while contributing to business development and new service ideas.

Qualifications

• Professional Accounting qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA).
• Post-qualification experience in external audit/consulting for Local Authorities or health bodies.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and public sector reporting experience.
• Experience in leading projects and managing client relationships.
• Coaching juniors and business development experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver non-audit engagements across FRAS services with focus on quality.
• Apply problem-solving skills with clients on complex accounting issues.
• Take wider team responsibilities through training and new projects.
• Involve in business development and generation of ideas for new services.
• Oversee team members in project delivery.
• Support oversight of project finances and budgets.
• Responsible for client onboarding and relationship building.
• Collaborate with teams to push the business forward.
