Job summary

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking Customer Services Advisors to provide contact centre service delivery and comprehensive information on council services. The role is based around the Dudley Borough with core hours 08:30–17:15, 22.5 hours across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and a pro rata salary of £27,274.00 to £29,071.00.

Shifts are set according to business needs from Monday to Friday. You will handle interviews with customers, determine eligibility, and raise service requests

Qualifications

• Excellent numerical and communication skills.
• Strong IT literacy to operate multiple computer systems.
• Ability to learn from regular service, policy and procedural updates.

Responsibilities

• Interview customers by telephone, in person or by electronic means to determine eligibility and needs.
• Research issues to provide solutions, raise service requests and take payments.
• Calculate benefit entitlements and make complex payment arrangements.
• Switch between skills and tasks as required to respond to regular changes.
